NLP
What is NLP?
Neuro-linguistic-programming (NLP) was developed by Richard Bandler during his PhD in psychology at the University of California Santa Cruz.
Bandler noticed that every school of psychology was primarily concerned with studying people who were sick. He proposed to do something different and study individuals who were working. He wanted to find out what made people excel.
To this aim, Bandler studied individuals who were the best in their fields. He studied people from many fields of expertise; paying particular attention to the ways in which they internally modeled the world and their language and behaviour within it.
It was not long before Bandler noticed similarities between these people. He began to model the thoughts, words and patterns of behaviour of those who excelled.
Neuro-linguistic-programming was born "the art and science of excellence".
Bandler sought to both develop and incorporate techniques from different therapeutic paradigms with the aim of being able to teach the patterns of excellence to other people. Could anyone learn the behaviours of excellence?
The techniques presented within NLP make it possible to achieve rapid, successful and dramatic changes to every aspect of life.
